Crawford Windor is a family owned garage door company that has been part of this community for more than 75 years. In that time we have installed and serviced garage doors on just about every kind of building Lane County has, from mid-century homes and new construction to warehouses, fire stations, and industrial facilities.

Today Crawford Windor is owned and operated by the Snyder family. We are not a franchise, and we are not a branch of a national chain. We are a local business, run by people who live here, work here, and are raising their family here.

When you call Crawford Windor, you do not reach a national call center or a regional dispatch queue. You reach a Lane County family business that has been here since 1948, with our own installation crews, our own trained technicians, and every decision made right here in Eugene.

We have spent more than 75 years learning this community: its homes, its builders, its weather, and its buildings. That is knowledge a national chain simply cannot ship in.

Family owned does not mean small. Behind the family name is a full team of trained installers and service technicians, running dedicated crews for residential, commercial, and industrial work. “Family owned garage door company” is a phrase that gets used loosely, so here is what it actually means day to day.

Our crews are already in Lane County when you ring, rather than being routed here from a hub in another city. The person who quotes your job and the person who fits it work for the same small company, so nothing is lost in a handover. And when something is not right, there is no escalation path to navigate — the people responsible are reachable, and they are the ones who will come back out.

It also changes what we are willing to tell you. A company that needs to hit a monthly sales target has a reason to recommend replacement. Residential doors. New installations, replacements and upgrades on homes across the valley, from insulated steel to carriage-house styling and full-view glass. This is the bulk of what we do.

Commercial doors. Shops, workshops, fleet buildings, storage and multi-bay facilities, where the door has to survive being used dozens of times a day rather than twice.

Industrial doors. The heavy end: large openings, high-cycle hardware and doors built for buildings where a failure stops work rather than just being inconvenient.

Repairs and maintenance. Springs, cables, rollers, openers, safety sensors and seasonal servicing — on doors we installed and on doors we did not. We service most brands, whoever put them in originally.

Carrying several manufacturers rather than one is deliberate. It means we can match a door to a house and a budget instead of selling whichever line we happen to be tied to.

On residential work we fit Hörmann, Amarr, Wayne Dalton and Midland, which between them cover everything from plain and practical to genuinely striking. Commercial work is mainly Hörmann. Industrial doors come from R&S Manufacturing, built for the heavier duty cycles those buildings demand.

For openers we fit LiftMaster. It is what our technicians know intimately, what we stock parts for, and what we are comfortable recommending to somebody who expects it to still be working in fifteen years.
