Crawford Windor is a garage door company in Eugene, Oregon, owned and operated by the Snyder family and serving Lane County since 1948. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. Effective date: August 4, 2026.

Who we are

Crawford Windor, 145 Washington St., Eugene, OR 97401. Phone 541-342-2823. Email garagedoors@crawfordwindor.com. CCB #586. Our website address is https://www.crawfordwindor.com.

What we collect when you contact us

The contact form on this site asks for the information we need in order to quote or schedule work. Depending on which options you choose, that can include:

  • your name, email address and phone number
  • the address of the property the work is for
  • details about the door itself — type, size, colour, insulation, windows, operator and any extras
  • anything else you choose to write in the message field

You do not have to fill in the optional detail. A name and a way to reach you is enough to start a conversation. We do not ask for payment details through this website, and you should never send card or bank information through the contact form.

How we use it

We use what you send us to reply to you, to prepare an estimate, and to schedule and carry out work you ask for. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers. We will not add you to a marketing list because you asked us a question.

Where it is stored and who can see it

Form submissions are emailed to us and are also saved in this website’s own database so that we do not lose an enquiry if an email goes astray. They can be read by Crawford Windor staff and by the web developer who maintains the site. The site is hosted by our web host, who necessarily has technical access to the server the data sits on.

A small number of other companies necessarily handle that information in the course of getting it to us:

  • our web hosting company, which operates the server the website and its database run on
  • Microsoft, which carries our email — notifications from the form arrive in a Microsoft 365 mailbox
  • the companies behind the content embedded on this site, described below

We do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising, and it does not go to anyone beyond what is listed here.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful — long enough to follow up, and long enough that we can look back at what was installed if you call us about the same door years later. If you would like your enquiry deleted, email or call us and we will remove it.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress itself sets cookies in two situations: if you leave a comment it may save your name, email and website so you do not have to type them again, and if you log in to the site as a staff member it sets cookies to keep you logged in. If you simply browse the site and do not log in or comment, no cookies are set by us.

Do Not Track

Most browsers include a “Do Not Track” setting that tells websites you would rather not be followed around the internet. There is still no agreed standard for how a site should answer that signal. Because this site does not track visitors across other websites in the first place — no analytics package, no advertising pixel, no cross-site tracking of any kind — we take no specific action when a Do Not Track signal arrives. Nothing about your visit is treated differently, because there is nothing being tracked either way.

For the same reason there is nothing for a browser opt-out signal to switch off: we do not sell personal data and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Content embedded from other websites

Some pages include material served by other companies, and those companies can see that your browser requested it — including your IP address — in the same way they would if you visited their site directly. On this site that means the Instagram feed on the home page, which is served by Instagram and Meta; the Google Map on our contact page; and the typefaces the site uses, which load from Google Fonts. Their own privacy policies govern what they do with that request.

Analytics and advertising

At the time of writing this site runs no analytics package, no advertising pixel and no visitor tracking of any kind. If that changes, this page will be updated to say so.

Comments

Comments on articles are limited to logged-in users and are reviewed by a person before they appear. If you leave a comment, the text, your display name, your IP address and your browser user agent string are stored, which helps with spam detection. Uploaded images can carry embedded location data, so avoid uploading photographs with location data included if you would rather not share where they were taken.

Security

The site runs security software that logs requests, including IP addresses, in order to identify and block malicious traffic. That logging applies to everyone who visits and is not used for marketing.

If your information is ever exposed

Oregon law requires us to keep reasonable safeguards around personal information and to tell you if a breach puts yours at risk. If that ever happened we would notify the people affected as promptly as we could, and within the timeframe Oregon law sets, and we would notify the Oregon Department of Justice if the breach were large enough to require it.

Your choices

You can ask us what enquiry information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email garagedoors@crawfordwindor.com or call 541-342-2823 and tell us what you would like. There is no charge and you do not need a particular form of words. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law.

Your rights if you live in California or Oregon

Some states give residents specific rights over personal information. Oregon’s Consumer Privacy Act sets its thresholds well above the size of a business like ours, so it does not formally apply to Crawford Windor — but we would rather simply offer these things than argue about whether we have to.

If you have contacted us through this website, you can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. Email garagedoors@crawfordwindor.com or call 541-342-2823. We will respond within 45 days. There is no charge, and asking will never affect the service you get from us. If we cannot do what you have asked, we will tell you why, and you can reply to ask us to look at it again.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging work on a building. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If the way this site handles information changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Substantial changes will be described rather than quietly swapped in.
